His effectiveness in this role is assisted by him keeping abreast of industry developments and collaborating with significant industry players. He has a degree in materials engineering with honours and has been in the pipeline industry for over 20 years.

Frank's diverse roles at BlueScope Steel include being a specialist metallurgical investigator, developing product and providing expertise on welding and the special properties of steel. Frank is well known and respected in the Australian pipeline industry and has made a significant contribution to its development since the 1980s. Frank has a PhD in Materials Science and a Bachelor of Metallurgy degree.
Chris provides technical leadership for a team that coordinates welding-related product development and plant, process and customer support. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Materials and a Masters of Engineering in Materials. His primary experience and knowledge is in welding, a field in which he has over ten years practical and research experience.
